African Heritage Month @ River City
The celebration of African Heritage is an event to be enjoyed and shared by River City members and visitors alike. We invite brothers, sisters, friends and family to partake in the many sights, sounds, tastes and imagination of African Heritage month with the River City Community Church. Join us for this month long journey!

Sunday, February 1st
Dr. Brenda Salter-McNeil returns to River City as our guest speaker! A River City member will also share their faith walk story at Sunday worship.

Sunday, February 8th
Please join us as we visit the Du Sable Museum of African American History after worship service. Transportation will be available from the sanctuary, and admission is free! Visit http://www.dusablemuseum.org/ for more information about the museum.

Sunday, February 15th

Join us for a movie night featuring Eyes on the Prize, a documentary about the African-American civil rights movement. Insightful discussion will follow! 3 - 5 p.m., location: 1001 14th Place.

Sunday, February 22nd
River City members and friends are invited to attend the Taste of Louisiana Dinner and Theatre at RC3 Headquarters. Look forward to a delicious sampling of cajun/creole delights, followed by a much-anticipated performance by River City thespians on various African-American historical figures!
